Of all the stories about domestic violence that gets people talking, this one seems to rank high as one of the strangest. On May 5, at exactly 2:19 am, one Afobaje Maiyegun took to his Facebook timeline to post about his wife, however, it wasn't your everyday"I love my wife"post.

Maiyegun posted images of his battered and bruised wife. Apparently, he had beaten the daylight out of her and without any ounce of remorse, took to a public online space to boast about his deeds.

Maiyegun surely felt he had proven himself as a real man with the act. This comes on the heels of his caption for the posts in which he stated that he is fearlessly waiting for the police that will come to her aid.

His caption read:"I beat my wife and am waiting for her police because I talk to a woman". Since then, the post has garnered a host of angry and irritated reactions with over 2,000 people sharing it to the public eye.

Maiyegun's action took many by surprise and the authorities launched a manhunt on him. In what can be viewed as a welcome development, Jubril Gawat, the senior special assistant to Lagos state governor on new media has announced that the man has now been arrested.

He also stated that according to investigations, that is not the first time the man would be beating his wife. Jubril Gawat wrote on his Twitter page (@Mr_JAGss):

"One Mr “Afobaje Mayegun”, Man who beat up his wife mercilessly with injuries and dared the authorities to come and pick him. The @DSVRT swung into action and got him arrested at the Area J Division of the Lagos State Police Command

Preliminary investigation conducted revealed that this is not the first time the said Mr Maiyegun would perpetrate such a dastardly act. A partner NGO, HerFessions Initiative was on ground to assist with the investigation.

The case is set to be charged to court tomorrow, Friday 15th May 2020.

This is to sound a clear warning that the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. @jidesanwoolu

has declared a zero-tolerance to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in the State and as such perpetrators will face the full weight of the law"

Here are some of the comments on Maiyegun's Facebook post about the incident.

Olakunle Ibrahim Altima,"I don't think it's true, if true you do this and still think you are a man, You are not. Just go and do the right thing like a man..... Please"

Dabio Michael,"How I which you no the way she loves you, you won't beat her this way.sule come back to your senses wat u did is very very bad as a friend I will tell u the Truth, go and apologize too her and delete this rubbish from social media..."

Esom Virgilus,"Sule why did you beat your wife? You said you talked to a woman, yet it depends on what you discussed with the woman you talked to. Remember beating her up can not and will never solve the problems. Next time take a civilized approach."

Despite pleas from his friends for him to take down the post and apologize to his wife, Maiyegun remained adamant. Some other friends even testified to the fact that he does way more than this and can never change. It is only fair that he will now face the full force of the law.

HORROR! 7 Students Fall To Their Deaths After Balcony Railing Breaks At Bolivian College (GRAPHIC VIDEO)

Seven Bolivian college students were killed and five others injured after an indoor balcony railing broke and sent them plummeting, some as far as four floors, to the ground.   As a large number of students crowded into a fourth-floor hallway at the Public University of El Alto near the Bolivian capital on Tuesday morning, the balcony railing apparently buckled and gave way. Several students lost their balance and fell to the ground 17 meters (55 feet) below. The horrific incident was captured by bystanders in graphic footage, which also shows the brave actions of students who reached over the open edge to prevent others from falling. A few victims landed on the third floor rather than dropping all the way to the ground level. The seven fatalities were confirmed by Bolivia’s Special Force to Fight Crime. Three died at the scene, while the other four perished from their injuries at hospitals around El Alto, according to local media reports.   The deadly incident happened during...

Cursed’ ship found completely intact 90 years after sinking

Cursed’ ship found completely intact 90 years after sinking ARCHAEOLOGISTS were thrilled when a 90-year-old "cursed" shipwreck was found in Canadian waters completely intact more than 90 years after it sank. SS Manasoo was a passenger vessel of 529 tonnes built in 1888 in Glasgow and began daily journeys from Hamilton to Toronto that year. But on September 15, 1928, the ship foundered off Griffith Island , Georgian Bay, with 16 lives lost while fighting a heavy storm, and capsized when her cargo of 116 cattle apparently shifted to one side. The recent addition of increased passenger accommodation on its upper deck is thought to have contributed to the instability and all five of the survivors drifted for 60 hours in a lifeboat before being picked up by a passing ship. But sailors have another theory. Originally owned by the S.S. Macassa Hamilton Steamship Company, the Scottish-built vessel was renamed SS Manasoo, its new title reflected the primary ports of call, Manitoulin I...
