—Says Almajiri Should Not Be Stigmatized

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has disclosed that the State Government in its wisdom paid  the sum of 8 million Naira to Fulani Herdsmen who lost their cows at Ezinihitte Mbaise, for the sake of One Nigeria.

The Governor made this known when he received the leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) at the Imo State Government House Owerri.

Governor Uzodimma affirmed that Imo People are hospitable people and will do everything possible to make the State conducive for every Nigerian, irrespective of  their religion or tribe.

Governor Uzodimma also frowned at Governors who are rejecting and deporting Alamajiri from their State, noting that that is not the spirit of One Nigeria.

The Governor further assured that Almajiris are free to stay in the State. He however noted that those of them coming into Imo from other States will undergo the mandatory process of 14 days self Isolation being allowed into the society.

His Excellency thanked Miyetti Allah for their support and prayers, while assuring them that Imo under his watch shall ensure there is prosperity for all.

One of the leaders of the association, Alhaji Yakubu Bello, while reacting to Governor's statement, thanked Governor Uzodimma for making the state conducive for them to conduct their business. He also assured the Governor of their unalloyed support and good will.

But sailors have another theory. Originally owned by the S.S. Macassa Hamilton Steamship Company, the Scottish-built vessel was renamed SS Manasoo, its new title reflected the primary ports of call, Manitoulin I...
